B.E.A.R
7-10 October 2015 in Bucharest
Deadline 31 August
The 1st Edition of the Biennial for Emerging Arts functions as an artistic, political and social gathering. The Biennial is committed to provoke new dialogical ways of thinking and making performance art and, for this, will put together those artists standing at the border of security, lawfulness and ethics. The 6 young artists, through an intensive 10 days residency, coaching and research programme will develop their ideas into solo works.
The residency is personalised by international live artists Tania el Khoury and Farid Fairuz.
International travel, accommodation and a gross €450 artist fee will be covered by the organisers for each selected participant. All B.E.A.R events take place inside Arthale, a 900 sqm open space hall, historically used for producing large scale monuments. Artists are invited to send ideas for solo performances to develop and show in premiere during the Biennial.
